The British Engines Beyond Awards 2025 brought together employees from across the group to recognise excellence, dedication and achievement.
Hosted by BBC presenter, Matt Bailey, the ceremony celebrated the success of apprentices and employees reaching long-service milestones of 25, 35 and 40 years.
This year marked the introduction of the Lifelong Learning Award, honouring employees who demonstrate exceptional commitment to their personal and professional development.
Guests were joined by Steve Harper, former professional footballer and Newcastle United’s longest-serving player, who shared reflections on his 20 year career and his current role as the club’s Academy Director.
Steve’s talk offered valuable insights into the importance of commitment, work-life balance and mental health. The session concluded with a Q&A, followed by a light-hearted ‘dream line-up’ game, where guests competed for the chance to win a magnum of champagne for their table.
Congratulations to the apprentice award winners who have shown an outstanding level of progression during their apprenticeship…
